Origin: A traditional European cutting celery known for its vigorous growth and aromatic foliage used like a culinary herb rather than stalk celery
Flavour: Intensely fresh and aromatic with classic celery flavour, richer and more herbaceous than common celery
Best place to grow: Open fields, raised beds, or containers in full sun to partial shade with fertile, moist, well-drained soil
Fun Fact: Gewone Snij is harvested by repeatedly cutting the leaves, and because it regrows quickly it can be harvested multiple times during the season
Shape, size & colour: Bushy plants producing upright, bright green, finely divided leaves and tender stems ideal for fresh use
